The HANA Project

How is the second generation of the Church actually doing?

As a ministry dedicated to the second-generation of the Korean Church of New England for the past 28-29 years, ARISE has been working on ways to serve the Korean Church. In light of this, we studied how the Korean Church is actually doing, not just from our own experiences, but from you, the Church members themselves.

This study draws from conversations and surveys to answer the question, ““How can we accurately identity the state of the second generation of the Korean American Church of New England, and with this, help the second generation to thrive alongside the first generation as a part of the Korean Church?”

This study was under the direction of Pastor Jane Chun, who is on our pastoral staff, and is funded by the Louisville Institute under the Pastoral Study Grant, which “offers pastoral leaders the gift of time and the resources to investigate issues related to Christian ministry and leadership, North American religious practices and institutions, or major challenges facing wider, contemporary society.”
