Our Vision

On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.” - Acts 20:7-12

“Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, ARISE.”” -Mark 5:41

As a para-church ministry native to New England, we believe in the second generation as a part of the Korean Church. We are dedicated to the next generation as both youth and adults.

ARISE is dedicated to continuous revival and sustenance of next generation faith in the Korean Church of New England.

Our Mission

We seek to carry out our vision through worship, community, and intergenerational unity.

  • ARISE started in 1994 out of a desire for Korean churches in New England to come together and worship at an annual summer retreat. To this day, we continue to seek to create spaces for the next generation to gather and worship God. As a ministry, ARISE seeks to share the love of Jesus with the next generation of the Korean Church of New England by worshiping together in unity as the greater Body of Christ.

  • ARISE seeks to build community for the next generation of the Korean Church of New England and greater Northeast by offering spaces for intentional relationship with older brothers and sisters in Christ who are further along in the faith as well as spiritual fellowship with peers throughout the area.

  • As a ministry, we believe that intergenerational unity is a key to gospel-driven transformation and sustaining faith for the next generation of the Korean American Church. To this end, ARISE promotes intergenerational unity by equipping the next generation with opportunities to understand previous generations and their own generation better.
