ARISE is a multi-faceted ministry that serves the youth, youth workers and churches year-round for the sake of the youth, but the ministry first began in 1994 with a joint summer retreat organized by a few college students who were serving the youth in local churches.

Since then, the summer retreat has become an important and strategic way God uniquely meets the needs of the youth in New England. Because the Korean churches here no longer have English-speaking college students and young adults, for many youth the ARISE Summer Retreat is one of the few times a year they can get to know and live life alongside older brothers and sisters who love the Lord and love them.  ARISE brings together and trains young adults and Christian leaders from churches all over New England to live with and serve the youth--in the Gospel, through intentional life-on-life discipleship, within loving Christian community that fosters a life in Christ beyond youth years.

24th Annual Summer Retreat

Theme - "Known and Loved: Intimacy with Christ"

The logo design is rough, messy, raw... like our hearts. The one that God fully knows and yet completely loves. And He is devoted to us, at work forming our hearts to be like His by the Holy Spirit.

"To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is...what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”
- Timothy Keller
